Company Origin

CoGenesys was formed as a spin-out from Human Genome Sciences, Inc. (HGS) in December, 2005. Our objective was to capitalize and focus on further development of therapeutic products, intellectual property assets and technology generated or acquired by HGS over the past thirteen years. In June 2006, CoGenesys was established as an independent company in conjunction with the completion of a $55 million Series A financing.
